The department offers a bachelor&#8217;s program in information technology. The department periodically reviews the content and plans of the program and works with partners in various sectors to update the programs to suit the needs of the labor market. The department&#8217;s programs are designed in light of the latest trends in information technology that provide better employment opportunities. At the same time. The development of the program&#8217;s study plan focuses on engaging in the fields of cloud computing and applied data science, which provide students with up-to-date knowledge in these rapidly growing fields. Moreover, the IT program supports the local and regional community with well-educated and qualified students by providing them with theoretical and practical knowledge in various fields of information technology, especially in information technology management, programming, databases, web application development, and software engineering. The department also seeks to attract a full-time teaching and administrative staff of qualified and experienced people from within Yemen and from other universities who are able to transfer knowledge and provide students with basic skills using the latest teaching methods. The department also seeks to provide the appropriate infrastructure for the educational process from various laboratories and educational tools as well as books, references and specialized periodicals
