Medical Laboratories Department
The Department of Laboratory Medicine was established with the establishment of the College of Medical Sciences at the International Gulf of Aden University in the academic year 2018 with the aim of meeting the community’s need for qualified health cadres in various therapeutic, diagnostic, preventive and rehabilitative fields to keep pace with the advanced level of health and medical services and rise to the level of scientific and technical progress in health fields in general.
Medical laboratory specialists conduct various and diverse medical laboratory examinations and analyses that contribute to the diagnosis of various disease conditions and also follow up on their treatment.
Studying in the Department of Laboratory Medicine opens the way for the student to fully learn about the medical and clinical analyses required to diagnose various diseases, and also gives the student the opportunity to gain theoretical and laboratory scientific experience through an integrated study plan for all areas of medical analysis.
The Department of Pharmacy offers specialized study programs including:
– Bachelor of Pharmacy: A five-year program that includes theoretical and practical courses.
– Pharmacy Technician Diploma: A two-year program that teaches theoretical and practical subjects and focuses on practical training to qualify technicians to work in pharmacies.
